The Human Rights Committee is holding its 122nd session from 12 March to 6 April 2018.
On the occasion of Liberia's review at this session, FIACAT, ACAT Liberia and the World Coalition Against the Death Penalty (WCADP) submitted a joint alternative report on the implementation of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights by Liberia.
FIACAT, ACAT Liberia and the WCADP thus wished to draw the attention of the experts of the Committee against Torture to issues related to the National Human Rights Institution, the Truth and Reconciliation Commission, the State of emergency and counter-terrorism measures, the right to non-discrimination, the right to life and the treatment of persons deprived of their liberty.
