United Kingdom and the Netherlands reviewed by the Committee against torture

The 50th session of the UN Committee against torture will take place in Geneva from 6 May to 31 May 2012.

FIACAT will represent both ACAT concerned during this session and transmit their concerns on the situation of torture and ill-treatment in the country to the Committee’s experts.

States, in which an ACAT exist, that have submitted their reports on the application of the Convention against Torture and will be examinated in May 2013 are :

UNITED KINGDOM

The examination by the UN Committee Against Torture of UK’s 5th periodic report takes place during the 50th session of the CAT, on 7 May and 8 May 2013, in Geneva.

NETHERLANDS

The examination by the UN Committee Against Torture of the 5th to 6th periodic reports of the Netherlands takes place during the 50th session of the CAT, on 14th and 15th May 2013, in Geneva.
