Canada and Czech Republic reviewed by the Committee against torture, May 2012

The 48th session of the UN Committee against torture will take place in Geneva from 7 May to 1st June 2012.

FIACAT will represent both ACAT concerned during this session and transmit their concerns on the situation of torture and ill-treatment in the country to the Committee’s experts.

States, in which an ACAT exist, that have submitted their reports on the application of the Convention against Torture and will be examinated in May 2012 are :

CANADA

The examination by the UN Committee Against Torture of Canada’s 6th periodic report takes place during the 48th session of the CAT, on 21st and 22th May 2012, in Geneva.

CZECH REPUBLIC
