Liberia will be reviewed for the third time during the 36th session of the third cycle of the Universal Periodic Review.
This joint alternative report by FIACAT, ACAT Liberia and the World Coalition Against the Death Penalty aims at assessing the implementation of recommendations accepted by Liberia during its previous review and the evolution of the situation of human rights in the country.
FIACAT, ACAT Liberia and the WCADP wish to draw attention to a number of concerns. These concerns relate mainly to the death penalty, enforced disappearances, impunity, custody and pre-trial detention, detention conditions, the monitoring of places of deprivation of liberty and the Independent National Commission on Human Rights.
