Contribution of FIACAT and ACAT Mali to the third universal periodic review of Mali
The aim of the alternative report drafted by FIACAT and ACAT Mali is to evaluate the implementation of the recommendations and commitments made by Mali concerning the improvement of the human rights situation since the second Universal Periodic Review (UPR) of that country.
FIACAT and ACAT Mali wish to draw attention to a certain number of concerns. These concerns relate mainly to the abolition of the death penalty, extra-judicial executions and enforced disappearances, the fight against torture, detention conditions, judicial safeguards, the training of law enforcement officers, the administration of justice and the National Human Rights Commission.
