The second periodic report submitted by the Government of Senegal has been published and reviewed by the Committee against Torture on 1 May 1996. The third periodic report and subsequent reports were overdue by 25 June 1996. It was finally delivered on 9 February 2011 and will be discussed at the 49th session of the Committee against Torture in Geneva from October 29 to November 23, 2012.
ACAT and Senegal FIACAT want to bring to the attention of the Committee against Torture concerns about the situation of torture and ill-treatment, detention conditions of prisoners and procedural safeguards in Senegal.
