The Committee Against Torture held its 43th session in Geneva, from 2 to 20 November 2009.

States, in which an ACAT exist, that have to submit a report on the application of the Convention against Torture are :

Spain

The examination by the UN Committee Against Torture of the fifth periodic report of Spain took place on 12th and 13th November 2009.

FIACAT represented ACAT Spain during this session and transmitted its concerns on the situation of torture and ill-treatment in the country to the Committee’s experts.
