Following the appointment of the new Special Rapporteur on torture and other cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment, Juan Méndez, the Association for the Prevention of Torture (APT), the International Federation of ACAT (FIACAT), the International Rehabilitation Council for Torture Victims (IRCT) and the World Organisation Against Torture (OMCT) cordially invite you to a parallel event on the main issues ahead in relation to the combat against torture and to the mandate of the Special Rapporteur on torture.

The side event will take place on Tuesday 8th March 2011, from 3pm to 4:30pm, in Room XXIV, in Palais des Nations.
